One of the first questions we get from people graduating from college is about how to build your credit. 


The first, and right answer is that it takes time. Time, and consistency. 

We can't tell you that's not the case, but we can tell you that there a number of companies and services out there that help you along the way. 

We've collected some examples of these.

As always, be careful about third party services.

Child benefit to build and finance a home

Self Financial offers credit building tools which allow you to build your credit score safely. 

They provide customers a loan in a bank-held Certificate of Deposit (CD) that customers pay off in monthly installments. Self reports the loan payments to all 3 credit bureaus.

Self charges a small fee ($9 Admin, $25 each month) for the service.
